April 2011: The work "Earth and moisture" is made of a photograph of 20 x 20 cm on mdf with a thick layer scratched epoxy on top.
The photo I made in 2002, for the book Bevleugeld.
The face in this work is breathing against a transparant surface, surrounded by earth. Because the epoxy layer is scratched, the fading between photograph and 'real' material appears fluid.
